PALACE ON WHEELS
The
very mention of Rajasthan evokes visions of Maharajas, palaces,
forts, deserts, camels and people in brightly coloured attire.
It is through such a landscape that the Palace on Wheels, one of
the ten most luxurious trains of the world, winds its way on its
week-long journey.

The
journey begins from Delhi, and takes the travellers
through Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Swai Madhopur,
Chittaurgarh, Udaipur, Agra, Bharatpur and Delhi.
It is one of the world's most exciting journeys, and offers a
variety of sightseeing and desert safaris laced with dance and
music to make the trip memorable.

The fourteen deluxe saloons, equipped with
all modern-day amenities is tastefully decorated and offers a
once-in-a-lifetime experience of living in royal splendour. |
The
seven day tour gives the traveller a unique opportunity to
leisurely explore Rajasthan while the 'Khidmatgars'
do their utmost to make the tour as comfortable as possible.
The
pleasure of living in a mobile palace is all yours from the
moment you arrive at the station to board the Palace on Wheels
and this wonderful experience does not come to an end after just
seven days but lingers in the memory of the traveller long after
the journey is over.
Each
coach has four coupes and is provided with wall-to-wall
carpeting. Two restaurant cars, the Maharaja and the Maharani
offer continental, Rajasthani and Indian cuisine for the
gourmets. Besides, a well stocked bar and a lounge car are
attached to make your journey a memorable experience. The
centrally air-conditioned and self-sufficient train leaves Delhi
Cantonment every Wednesday.

Tariff
is inclusive of cost of travel, full catering (morning

cameras, except charges for video cameras, cost of

far as Siberia and China.
